GAW Fury Miner

I purchased a set of 5 Gaw Fury Miners a week or so ago and they came in today. These miners are scrypt-based and run in and around 1.3MH/S each. Also, to set them up was so much more simple than i expected.

The first thing that happened when I got into cryptocoin mining is i realized that i knew nothing. So any chance you get to learn or read something out there that you don't know entirely about, do it. But these neat little boxes were a breeze to setup and get running.

What you need

Hardware wise, you need to have a GAW Fury, 1 12V 5A power supply, and a USB cable. Now, simple enough, you plug in your fan line, then pop in your power supply cord into your unit and finally connect your USB from your Fury to your controller (PC or what have you).

All done? Great! Now comes the fun bit:

  1. Once plugged in you need to download a driver called CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver.
  2. Select the proper version for your OS and install it.
  3. Once installed, restart your computer. I'll wait.
  4. Install MultiMiner. (Great piece of software that takes a lot of the guess work with new miners)
  5. Once everything is installed and you add your coin/settings into Multiminer right click on the application's window and click "Scan Hardware"
  6. That should be the final step and if you have your driver installed properly, you should be mining away!

Congratulations!

You're all set, but if something went wrong during the process follow these trouble-shooting steps

Trouble-shooting

  1. Find those drivers you installed the first time, and re-install them (just to be safe).
  2. Restart computer.
  3. Now open your MultiMiner and make sure your pool is configured with the right information and it saves.
  4. Make sure your miner (if it shows up) is set on the pool you created (If you can't see your miner at this point "Scan Hardware" again).
  5. If your miners are acting odd, or you just want to make sure everything is configured properly, right click in MultiMiner and click "Settings"(Also found in the top right).
  6. Click "Advanced miner settings"
  7. Click the drop-down where it says "SHA256" and select "Scrypt"
  8. Add "--set zeus:clock=328 --failover-only --no-submit-stale" to the box next to the drop-down and hit OK.
  9. Run MultiMiner

Now everything should be functioning as it should, if it's not feel free to reach out to me through email (emersongstewart@gmail.com) and maybe I can help try to figure out your problem with you.
