Slush pool has a nice open beta web client that is so much better than the old one, it's mind blowing. It has new charts that give you good insight into hardware performance and up time, as well as a good log of your payouts, and block rewards. They have implemented a rewards system called the scoring hashrate.

Scoring Hashrate
User participation to pool's mining power is measured by scoring hash rate. It reflects how much work the user did in recent hours. You can understand scoring hash rate as an exponential moving average from hash rate of all user mining devices connected to the pool (see EMA on wikipedia). The averaging smooths out short hash rate drops or increases and makes rewards calculation more stable and fair (the exact mathematical definition is provided lower).
For example, if your scoring hash rate is 1% of the whole pool, you receive 1% of the block rewards. If you own 0.031% of hash rate, you receive 0.031% of rewards from the block. It is that simple.
The pool calculates your reward for every found block as follows:
- A block value is typically 25 BTC + fees from bitcoin transactions contained in the block (you can see block valueshere).
- Scoring hash rates used for the calculation are hash rates from time when a particular block was found. They reflect some mining history before the actual block finding.
- A pool fee is currently 2%.
Workers
They give some nice worker settings like "expected hashrate" which is fantastic to make sure your hardware isn't under-performing. This helps you pro-actively find issues with your hardware, whether it be an error or just hardware that could do with a quick reboot. It has a little selector for what you'd like for minimum difficulty, which you can either just set very low or you can calculate what kind of difficulty your hardware can solve so you can get those higher shares.

Rewards
They also have a very nice, easy to read rewards log so you can see what kind of yeild you're getting out of your miners. A chart directly below gives you a timeline of your daily payouts as well as a weekly average.

Take a minute and mine over there for a few days and see how you like it. Easily my favorite pool so far.
